December 15, 2016, 12-1 PM

The non-profit Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center hosts a free talk on December 15 as part of their “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” Brown Bag Lunch Series.  Talks are Third Thursdays from 12 noon to 1 pm in the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney at 655 Kilauea Avenue in Hilo.

This month’s speaker is Erika Ginnis on “Cultivating Inner Peace: Tips and Techniques for the Holidays and Beyond.”

“Cultivating inner peace is important, since people, places, and things don’t always behave in the way we’d like them to,” says Ginnis.  “When you release trying to control the world around you, and instead focus on what you can control—that which is within—you create a positive effect without effort.”

In this talk, learn some helpful methods, including guided visualization, for dealing with stress around the holidays…and beyond.

Erika Ginnis has served as a counselor, teacher, and ordained minister since 1982, and a local publisher since 2009.  She is the owner of Inspiration is the Inbreath of Spirit and Inbreath Communication, and the author of Essential Mysteries: A User’s Guide for the 21st Century Mystic.  Ginnis has worked with people all over the world, helping them find their inner peace and realize their dreams.

Ku‘ikahi’s Brown Bag Lunch Series is free and open to the public.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch, enjoy an informal and educational talk-story session, and meet others interested in “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace.”

This lunch-and-learn series is made possible thanks in part to funding from the Atherton Family Foundation.  For more information, contact Ku‘ikahi Administrative & Program Assistant Jenifer Aveiro at 935-7844 x 1 or jenifer@hawaiimediation.org.
