Mediator Paul Finn to speak at William S. Richardson School of Law

Boston based mediator Paul Finn has mediated over 7000 claims since beginning his practice in 1992. He was the mediator who successfully resolved the 552 claims of alleged victims of sexual abuse by priests from the Archdiocese of Boston. For this work he was named one of the Lawyers of the Year by the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 2003.

He resolved all the claims for 335 claimants who filed claims resulting from the Station Fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island. Rhode island’s Federal District Court appointed Finn the 468(B) trustee to oversee the distribution of the funds collected during that mediation. He also was the led mediator in the claims filed by the DelValle family against the contractor and sub-contractors who built the tunnel system under the city of Boston.  Recently Mr. Finn mediated and resolved all the cleric sexual abuse claims brought against the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Mr. Finn has successfully mediated claims in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine,  New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, California, Texas, Illinois, Georgia, Nevada, Mississippi, South Carolina, Illinois, Florida, as well as Massachusetts. He is the original author of Massachusetts Practice Series, Volume 47, Mediation & Arbitration. The seventh edition was published in 2015.
