She has worked with numerous publishers for publications aimed at practitioners as well as academics.

Ethics for Environment and Public Policy Practitioners: Review of the Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators by Kelly Wilder

Description: There is underway an informal review of the Model Rules for Mediators that have been in effect and endorsed by ACR/ABA/AAA for just over a decade. At a meeting during the last ACR conference in Texas, it was suggested that instead of trying to re-write or update the model rules, we open up the rules for comments from the sections so that special circumstances or approaches to the model rules that affect each section somewhat differently could be discussed. The goal of the project is to create a set of section-specific commentaries that can stand with the model rules as advice and guidance for practitioners. This webinar will review previous efforts at developing standards for EPP practitioners and elicit discussion to inform the current effort.

Presenter Biography:
Kelly Wilder is Policy and Planning Consultant in the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Division of Fish and Wildlife, where she provides conflict management training and services. Previously, Kelly has volunteered as a district court mediator, served as in-house counsel for a consulting company, and facilitated collaborative efforts among federal, tribal, state, and local governments and their diverse stakeholders on a variety of natural and cultural resource issues. A graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law, Kelly is a Minnesota qualified neutral, member of the National Roster of Dispute Resolution and Consensus Building Professionals, and ethics representative on the Association for Conflict Resolution’s Environment and Public Policy Section leadership council.
