To Honor Conflict Resolution Day and Mediation Week The Matsunaga Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, the Mediation Center of the Pacific, the ADR Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution Hawaii Chapter Present Intervention Practitioners’ TALK STORY Mediators and Facilitators, join us for the first of what we hope becomes a quarterly meet-up for conflict resolution professionals and eager up-and-comers. Guided by a different theme each time, the informal gathering is intended to allow for reflection, feedback (and likely a few laughs) on anything from process to client behavior to self-care. Participation is flexible. Seasoned and new practitioners are welcomed. October 16 theme is “Lessons Learned From Rookies and Veterans”. Come ready to share stories about things that worked; things that didn’t go so well; and/or things that had surprising outcomes. Hosts rotate each quarter. Co-chairs Cindy Alm, Lou Chang, and Chuck Hurd, ADR Section of HSBA, will be the first hosts, and they have a nice venue lined up. Parking is available in the building for a flat fee after 5pm. Refreshments will be provided.
