About the Presenter:
Dr. Loretta Chen is an award-winning director, professor and best-selling author. She was a Nominated Member of Parliament and voted one of Asia’s Most Inspiring Women despite her espousal of liberal attitudes. She was also the International Consultant to the Kingdom of Bhutan and currently teaches at Leeward Community College. She is a devoted mentor and tireless social justice advocate working with women and youth communities. Her short film, Secrets to Happiness is currently touring the international film festival circuit and her latest book, Inspiring Women of Hawaii is available at Costco, Target and all good bookstores. Proceeds go towards the Women of Waianae Scholarship fund. Loretta believes in karma, compassion and is a firm believer of paying it forward. She relishes in her role as fur mom to ten cats which means she scoops poop – a lot.
