“Mediation isn’t just one thing; it’s many. Practitioners work in different domains, with different preferences, styles, and models in mind,” says Peter. “Some view mediation as a profession, others as a field, and still others as a philosophy of life.” In this talk, learn common cross-cutting principles worth exploring and some common ideas about moving toward mediation mastery.
Peter S. Adler, PhD is a planner, mediator, facilitator, and a Principal at ACCORD3.0, a professional network of consultants specializing in foresight, strategy, and cooperative trouble-shooting. He was President and CEO of The Keystone Center, Executive Director of the Hawai’i Justice Foundation, and founding Director of the Hawai’i Supreme Court’s Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Peter is the author of four non-fiction books and a forthcoming novel.
