COHESION BUILDING AND ‘THE GREAT GROUP’ by Peter Adler

Ku'ikahi Mediation Center 101 Aupuni Street, Suite PH 1014 B-2, Hilo

As part of our “Collaborative Planning & Problem-Solving” Training Series, Ku’ikahi Mediation Center presents COHESION BUILDING AND ‘THE GREAT GROUP.’ Facilitated by Peter Adler, this 1/2-day training takes place from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm in Hilo. “Moments of growth and change are usually triggered by external competitive forces in the marketplace; shifts in the economy; or internal pressures arise from the quest for financial success and excellence,” says Dr. Adler. “Cohesion building requires bringing people together; keeping them together; and helping them produce tangible results. The process involves appropriate strategies, practical tools, and clear-headed methods that aggregate the highest wisdom of a group.” This workshop is recommended for people who lead teams, manage departments, or must steer groups through turbulent times. Tuition is $55 for one workshop or $99 for both (see below). Individual needs-based partial scholarships available. REGISTER ONLINE at https://peteradler102419.eventbrite.com. THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS OF FACILITATION by Peter Adler

Ku'ikahi Mediation Center 101 Aupuni Street, Suite PH 1014 B-2, Hilo

As part of our “Collaborative Planning & Problem-Solving” Training Series, Ku’ikahi Mediation Center presents THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS OF FACILITATION. Facilitated by Peter Adler, this 1/2-day training takes place from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm in Hilo. “Many people—insurance agents, health professionals, and business brokers, to name just a few—use the word ‘facilitation’ to describe their work,” says Dr. Alder. “For those who assist groups needing difficult discussions, or help with issue clarification and pathway finding, there are some fundamental violations to avoid while facilitating. This workshop will explore good, better, and worse practices for independent practitioners or internal staff members who function as meeting facilitators.” The workshop is recommended for people who serve as organizational facilitators or are retained to manage other meetings. Tuition is $55 for one workshop or $99 for both (see above). Individual needs-based partial scholarships available. REGISTER ONLINE at https://peteradler102419.eventbrite.com. Or contact Majidah at 935-7844 x 3 or email majidah@hawaiimediation.org.
