FAIR HOUSING LAW: What Every Mediator Should Know

Zoom

A Free Training with Attorney & Mediator Phyllis A. Roestenberg Flyer - Fair Housing Law - What Every Mediator Should Know 10-30-20 ABOUT THE TRAINING The Fair Housing Act protects us against unlawful housing discrimination.  It requires reasonable accommodation and modification for persons with physical and/or mental disabilities.  It prohibits harassment, retaliation, and disparate treatment on the basis of protected class.  It governs the behavior of landlords, property managers, HOAs, lenders, realtors, and even neighbors.  This presentation provides an overview of the Act and demonstrates why mediation is the best way to resolve fair housing issues.   (Counts 1.5 hours toward continuing education for Ku‘ikahi’s active mediators & apprentices!)   ABOUT THE PRESENTER Phyllis A.
